Vintage 5 Gallon Clear Glass Water Jug Bottle Metal Stand Owens Illinois Tilting
We are more than happy to meet for pick-up! This thing is HUGE and to have this stand with it, makes it even more cool! This is an old school water jug, once used for holding water! Has the original stand that tilts and allows for easy pour. Has a latch chain that holds it while it is being moved.
The stand does fold up a bit to allow for storage and a small latching side to keep it stable. The jar has a cork lid (unsure if original) and very cool textured base. The jars appears to be in phenomenal condition with no major issues. We have done our best to clean it, but it may require additional cleaning to really spiff it up! The base does have some patina on it from storage.
Jar 19" tall x 1 3/8" (between 1 3/8" and 1 1/2") diameter opening X 11 diameter. Metal stand (when erected with the latch) 18" tall x 13 3/8" x 14 3/4. We see these used for home decor, wine making lol! , a coin piggy bank and it may serve many other cool purposes!
It is thick and may have the beautiful natural imperfections from manufacturing that leaves swirls within the glass (sometimes they have bubbles and whatnot throughout them). It is in good condition and doesn't even appear to have any chipping or even flea bites which is often seen around the lip. The jar lid is still there though it has some light rustic patina on it. Nonetheless, the natural imperfections make this lovely jar a one of a kind and beautiful in its own way! This jar will serve as more than just home decor, whether on the kitchen table, bedroom end table or on a bookshelf somewhere!
They are perfect for anytime of year with any decor. They serve as shelf and mantel home decor or can add a little bit of the heartland while serving a purpose such as holding office or class pens and pencils. Or maybe a little girls' room : They work beautifully with Shabby Chic, Country Chic, Vintage, Farmhouse Chic, Modern, Eclectic, and Rustic themes and decors. These bottles are old and in vintage condition and may have minor flea bites around the lip or some light flaking or chipping, however, most of these are in awesome condition due to Grandma and Grandpa taking SUCH good care of them over the years! They came to us in dusty condition, but we did our best to clean them up!
They may require additional cleaning if you so desire, but they are a lot cleaner than they were! Any "blushing" is normal and can possibly be cleaned off -- our bottle brush collection isn't quite enough to reach all the nooks and crannies.
