Set of 8 English Airtwist Hock wine glasses by Stuart in excellent condition. THE AIR TWIST GLASS is an ancient form originating in the Georgian era - thats the late 1700s!!

Some say it was created to make the glass lighter (glass was taxed by weight) as well as brighter. Whatever the reason, air twist continued until recent times where its been replaced by mass produced crystal stemware. Its so nice to appreciate old craftmanship and these are so special to have.
