Early Antique Blown Green Glass Demijohn Carboy Massive Wine Bottle / 26 Tall. Here is a very nice huge and massive empty forest green blown glass demijohn carboy wine bottle. My grandson, Julian, who is about 6'1, stands next to it in photo 1 to show just how big it really is. Its hand blown with numerous large and small surface bubbles here and there. Bottom has some darkish lines probably from in the making.
One side has some numerous 3 or 4 inch scratch lines on surface about 3 inches wide altogether. There are line marks in the neck. There are a few other extraneous lines and scuff marks as shown in photos.
There's a small scuff mark on one side. There are other minor scratches and blemished but nothing at all bothersome. There are no chips, cracks, haziness or repairs. 26 inches tall and is about 18 inches in diameter.
I believe this was made around the turn of the last century. I have owned it for about 25 years. Displays beautifully with some cattails or would make a fine sculptural garden item. Please see all enlarged photos to determine condition as the photos are a part of the description. This one will have to be picked up locally here in Parkersburg, WV.
