One of a Kind - SET OF SIX - HAND CARVED Antique Vintage Black Stem Crystal Wine Glasses. These are the real thing. So unspeakably lovely, classy and delicate.
Condition is Excellent - Approximately 100 Years Old - LIKE NEW CONDITION, these may never have been used. GUARANTEED - THE ONLY SET LIKE THIS IN THE WORLD! Hand decorated by Axel T Olson, (my Great Grandfather) a Norwegian immigrant, believed to be born around 1888. Axel and his wife Matilda moved from Magnor Norway, to the Dallas area and became a master glass cutter and artist. They later moved to Minneapolis, and it's believed he created these soon afterward.
Dated somewhere around 1920, This one of a kind set of Black Stemmed Hand decorated Wine Glasses, will become a treasured possession. Note: I do not know the technique he used, but often heard something about using a variety cutting wheels. Therefore the images are carefully and painstakingly created by gently grinding away the glass according to the pattern.
The pattern itself is believed to be Axel's own artistic creation. My mother was the last person who would have know this information but she has recently passed away.
