Georgian, Continental (probably Dutch) pedestal stem wine glass

This is a Georgian, Continental (probably Dutch) pedestal stem wine glass dating from the mid 18th century, c1750. The glass is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows the age related wear and tear to both the rim of the bowl and to the rim of the foot commensurate with 250+ years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the foot. The glass has a funnel bowl measuring 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) in diameter at the rim.

The bowl is plain and sits on a moulded six-sided pedestal stem and a conical, folded foot that measures 7.1 cm (2.8 inches) in diameter. The glass is 15.2 cm (6.1 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.

There is a white inclusion in the metal of the bowl and other tiny air bubbles and inclusions as is typical of this type of glass. It is made from soda metal.
